We have the information you need on hearing loss in both adults and children, frequently asked questions regarding hearing loss, hearing disorders like tinnitus (ringing in the ears) or Meniere's disease, cochlear implants, new technologies, noise and hearing loss, links to some useful on-line resources, books and videos of interest, and state news and events of our national, state and local chapters.
Our Organization Hearing Loss Association of Washington (HLA-WA) is a state-wide organization of people who are concerned about hearing loss and have an interest in advocating for access, supporting other people with hearing loss, and educating the public. We represent the needs of hard of hearing people at the state legislative level and interface with other organizations working to assist people with hearing loss. Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is a national, non-profit, educational organization, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, which represents our interests at the national legislative level. It is dedicated to the well-being of people of all ages and communication styles who do not hear well.
Our Mission The Hearing Loss Association of Washington opens the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy.
